GALEXY is a one-woman studio that makes thoughtfully constructed pants for people who think slow fashion is sexy and bold pants are cool. Using responsibly sourced textiles in small batches, they produce workwear-inspired pants with techniques like patchwork and hand dyeing.

Responsible design can be imaginative, inspiring, and educational for both the designer and the wearer. For GALEXY, this could mean anything from using certified organic cotton canvas, fabrics manufactured with recycled fibers, deadstock bolts, to second hand materials whenever possible. Slowing down the high consumption, over-production model of fast fashion is integral to the GALEXY process of creating.
production notes
The current GALEXY shop model is to take on orders in small batches by opening the online shop periodically, depending on production capacity and material availability. In addition to taking on small batches of made-to-order pants, we will occasionally release of one-of-one creations — to showcase limited fabrics or test new techniques.
Because GALEXY is currently such a small operation and doesn’t demand factory level efficiency, we have the opportunity to spend our time very intentionally experimenting with the different fabrics we find and letting the material dictate the ultimate design.
